We are thankful for the visit which was advertised through the photos preceding this. One point of interest was that all who came were influential people who upon consensus would approve of future projects for the school. As a result , we are getting two staff quarters next year and an ablution block for the students. What really had us in tickles during the visit was the fact that we were all out at the admin block ,looking our best.... and when the first part of the envoy arrived ,they did not walk ttowards the office but went behind the admin building...straight down into the ablution block!!!
I was under the library verandah facing the library windows when I saw the officers going down!!It was after school in the afternoon and no duties had been done.I pointed them out to the other teachers and we saw the irony and burst out laughing. We were still laughing when someone urgently whispered that the prime minister's car had come.We scrambled to the front yard and yes ,he does look distinguished. I had the priveledge to clasp his hand and say "Mauri, Sir."
