Scotts College NZ came to visit RHS because of one ex student – Watisoni, the son of the Nurse in Nuku named Asenaca, who had promoted the school. The Scott's team was lead by Mathew (the man who sponsored Watisoni) and other teachers and students. One teacher was named Russel, one was an electrician, one doctor and one nurse(female) and there were 25 male students altogether.
The group brought so much for the school with them including flash drives, laptops, types of field balls, volley, football, rugby and even tools for woodworking, ball pens for the students, agriculture tools for planting, rugby boots, sandals, canvas runners, calculators and a digital camera.
The Scotts group did so many activities while they were at the school including planting along the walkways to the school campus and they talk about their country and talked about different cultures. The electrician fixed some lights in the classrooms and even the tube lights they bought with them were used to fix lighting at the school.
They also fixed one wood turning machine that had been lying there for nearly two years not working. This machine can be use to shape timbers to make baseball bats and other wood items.
